Testing the Acceptability of Moringa Powder Among Healthy Adults
Unknown Not Applicable NCT05861076
Study Description
This randomized acceptability trial involves three different doses of Moringa powder to be consumed daily by study participants. Moringa is a nutrient-dense tree with anti-inflammatory properties that have been shown to improve insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, and high blood pressure in preclinical studies. This study seeks to test the acceptability, safety, and consumption of Moringa oleifera leaves as a powder in healthy adults in three different doses: 1 tsp, 2 tsp, and 3 tsp. The study will measure consumption, acceptability, and safety of the powder among healthy adults, with no specific disease diagnosis. Results from this testing trial will provide insight into a potentially acceptable dose for healthy adults seeking to improve their nutritional intake.
